So in my last post describing my trip to Hawaii, I described how I practically “forced” myself to NOT do any work while I was away at Hawaii on my “vacation” with my girlfriend and a couple of our friends.  I learned a ton from that trip.

Here’s what I realized…  No matter how busy you are, no matter how important your business or that task/project/deadline is to you, you MUST always make time for yourself to relax, to, as they say, “smell the roses“.

Because quite frankly, if you fail to do so, you’ll drive yourself nuts.

You’ll start to lose yourself amidst all of your entrepreneur pursuit; you’ll find yourself living your business instead of living your life; you’ll start to lose sight of what’s truly important in life, which is cherishing the moments you spend with your loved ones.

After forcing myself to relax for a week, the fog begin to clear, I started seeing things more clearly, the load on my shoulders lifted.

And it felt so darn good :)

yin-yangGive yourself that pleasure, free your mind, free yourself once in a while and see what it does for your spirits.  You’ll find yourself rejuvenated, re-energized, and that much more enthused and passionate about what you have to get done.

Talk about having your cake and eat it too eh?  ;)

Besides… what’s the worst thing that can happen if you say… (heaven forbit) take a day off each week to enjoy your life?  Really, you think your entire business will falter?  If that’s the case, is that really a business you want to stand by – a business built like a house of cards?

Remember, strike a balance between work and play, your professional and personal life – yin, and yang.

You have my full permission to enjoy your life.
