How I Got My “Guru” Status
Let me share with you really quick how I got to be an instructor on the ever so popular Better Networker, the #1 social media website for home based business owners and attained the “guru” status as well as finally quitting my dreadful $85,000/year J-O-B.

And quite frankly, I grew tired of talking to a bunch of tire-kickers and wasting my time camping out at malls and speaking to unqualified prospects.
Internet Marketing to the Rescue
To spare you the nitty-gritty details, I did my research online and came across the power of internet marketing.
It was a brand new world for me – a brand new and exciting world filled with unlimited potentials. Just imagine… generating tons of leads, even in your sleep. Letting your “prospecting system” educate and qualify them automatically. Only spending time with those who are serious about your business opportunity.
I was drooling and got to work… That’s right, I set out on a mission to master internet marketing. After spending literally tens if not hundreds of thousands of $dollars and a few years of my time learning internet marketing, I am proud and happy to say I now know how to market businesses and make money online (which is part of the reason why I was able to quit my job).
But They Hated Me for It…

The Silent Killer That’s Slowly Suffocating Our Society
Posted by: | CommentsThere’s a disease that seems to be plaguing many of us. It’s sapping us of our motivation, of our drive. It’s making us greedy and lazy. And it needs to stop.
Want to know what’s plaguing our society today?
“Entitlement”
Plain and simple. Many of us feel entitled, to things we aren’t ENTITLED to.
Graduates fresh out of college looking for 6 figure income jobs right from the get-go. Brand new business owners seeking the playboy lifestyle right from the day he declared he’s in business for himself. Brats who can’t wait to inherit their folk’s wealth. Divas wanting special preferential treatment.
The list goes on and on.
And what happens when we don’t get our way, we don’t get what we “think” we are entitled to, that we’ve taken for granted? We whine. We b*tch.
We moan. And we cry…
We blame the world and we blame everybody else. And we hardly ever look at within ourselves and perhaps wonder if it’s something we did that caused this misfortune to befalls us, that caused things not go our way.
And you know what’s scary?
I see This Dreadful Disease Fouling Our Network Marketing Industry
A new person joins an upline and think he deserves the upline’s undivided attention. Never mind that the new kid on the block hasn’t bothered going through the material his upline gave him, hasn’t perused the website, hasn’t attended the weekly calls, hasn’t bothered going to meetings – all geared to making him stronger and better.
Of course… a month goes by and he’s not seeing any progress.
He’s not seeing the new Ferrari he wanted in his garage, he’s not seeing his bank account balloon like he had imagined, and he’s not seeing his mansion by the beach.
All he is seeing is his same ol’ 9-5 in the crappy car he’s driving battling traffic with others just like him.
And now he’s pissed.
So he demands more help, more attention – no, make that UNDIVIDED attention, and more guidance from his upline. Beyond that he wants his upline’s upline’s upline (you know, the Triple-Ruby-Diamond-Plutonium uplihe) to help him.
And is more pissed when he doesn’t get the help he wants. After all, he’s entitled to it right?
It’s Your Upline’s Fault… Isn’t It?
Look, don’t get me wrong. Uplines are suppose to help you, yes, that’s why they are your upline. But for the same reason that got you so excited to join your MLM, which is to own your own business, is the same reason why you need to rely on yourself to help yourself. It’s YOUR OWN BUSINESS!
Your upline wants to help you because that’s helping him/herself. But if you are being a lazy fool and don’t follow instructions and aren’t making progress, what’s in it for the upline to help you?
If you have negative attitude and a victim’s mentality, your upline would end up hurting himself if he tries to help you.
Think of it this way, if your downline takes you for granted, shows no gratitude, and acts as if he were entitled to you good grace and your help, would YOU feel inclined to give your time to him?
It’s time we all stop this entitlement attitude – we are drowning in it. It’s time we take some responsibility for our action, or inaction, and create our own destiny. It’s time we start EARNING the rewards instead of awaiting handouts like beggars.
I say rather than looking for a “better upline“, look first to become a “better downline“.
Do the things your upline instructed you to do, assuming they are logical and in your best interest. Attend the meetings, join in on the calls, prospect people, learn about the company and the products, make some phone calls, etc. Learn to trust your upline and the system you are in.
Have faith.
And yes, do these things EVEN if they require you getting out of your comfort zone! Stop making excuses for yourself while blaming everything on your upline.
Then not only will you start experiencing increased success, so will your upline. And guess what? Your upline will start giving you the attention and the help you thought you are “entitled” to, and pretty soon so will your upline’s upline.
And then round and round you go.
Now, isn’t that a much nicer scenario than you sitting at home being pissed off at your upline for not lending a helping hand?
