You know, Google seems, wait no… Google IS everywhere. And the latest buzz now is how they are going to take over social media as we discuss in SEO Networker – how they are implementing Google Friend Connect, OpenSocial, FOAF, XFN and how they are following publicly declared connections, social network activity, etc.

My question is this, what are MSN and Yahoo doing? I can’t imagine them laying low in this battle of the search engines, can they?

And if they are, think of the implications, can you say utter and complete Google takeover *ahem* monopoly? After all, social media is the wave of the future and if MSN and Yahoo don’t get in that game, they may not be able to compete with Google period.

And what would THAT mean?

And if they ARE taking measures to ensure Google doesn’t get TOO far of them, then what are MSN and Yahoo (quietly) brewing?

Can you imagine them snickering in their underground labs creating some social media tool that will absolutely blow Google away, all the while all the spotlight is focused on Google? How awesome would that be?

For MSN and Yahoo’s sake, I hope that’s what they are doing…

Special Post – Special People

Posted by: | Comments (1)

This is going to be my first post here and I figure I’d make it a special one. Therefore, I want to start by thanking all those in my life who are helping me and/or has helped me get to this level of success in business.

First off, I’d like to give a great big thanks to two special people who play a HUGE role in my everyday business life – my business partner, Fernando Ceballos and my girlfriend (our in house CPA). Iva Chiu. They help keep my wheels turning and me from going nutso :) I can’t be where I am today business-wise without these two awesome people.

I’d like to thank my family, Lin (dad), Anna (mom), and Michelle (sister) Fong for their constant support – even when they may not have understood and believed whole-heartedly what I was doing. The important thing was they believed in me.

As a result, they gave me unconditional support and I am forever grateful and thankful.

I’d like to thank the Magnetic Sponsoring crew which includes but are not limited to Mike Dillard, Tim Erway, Justin Christianson, and others I’ve met along the way. They were the first ones to give Fernando and myself the opportunity to bust out of the 9-5 and make a name for ourselves.

And of course… we did :)

I’d like to also thank Jason Flenniken, Jessica Flenniken and the rest of the Better Networker crew who work behind the scenes for making Better Networker a better place.

A special thanks go out to Chief Master Taejoon Lee for making me tougher and helping me see a different side of business.

I’d also like to thank Mbuyi Khuzadi, Eric Sarmiento, and others I’ve had the pleasure of networking with in a network marketing company as well as the leaders. They helped me take the first steps in transitioning from an “employee” to a “entrepreneur” mentality.

I’d also like to thank all of my current as well as previous clients/customers – for believing and supporting me, and giving me the opportunity to prove my worth.

And of course, the friends I’ve met along the way including David Schwind, Jim Yaghi, Charles Heflin, Craig Allen, Matt Crystal, Russell Wright, Sue Bell, Jon Keel, Erika Preuss, David Bullock, and many more

Finally, I want to thank all those special mentors of mine whom I’ve learned so much from just reading/listening/watching their business material :)
